Numeral is looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer who sits at the intersection of engineering, product, and customer success. You’ll work directly with customers to solve complex technical problems while building scalable software.

This is a hybrid role: half your time with customers onboarding teams and supporting enterprise implementations, and half shipping features, automating workflows, and owning projects from design to deployment.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js preferred) or willingness to learn.
• Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Comfort working directly with customers and explaining technical concepts.
• Ownership mindset—you enjoy taking projects from idea to production.
• Startup mentality: comfortable with ambiguity and wearing multiple hats.

• Help improve our APIs, integrations, developer experience, and operational tooling.
• Become a trusted technical advisor for some of our largest customers.

About The Role

We're looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer who thrives at the intersection of engineering, product, and customer success. You'll work directly with customers to solve complex technical problems while building the software that makes those solutions scalable. This is a unique hybrid role. Roughly half your time will be spent working directly with customers, onboarding teams, supporting enterprise implementations, and partnering with Sales and Customer Success on technical engagements. The other half will be spent building software—shipping features, automating workflows, improving our platform, and owning engineering projects from design through deployment. You'll become an expert in how customers use Numeral and use those insights to make the product better every week. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both solving technical problems with customers and writing production code.

• Familiarity with AWS, Docker, Redis, or modern cloud infrastructure.
