Elev8 Recruitment in New York City is seeking an engineer who will own what happens after the sale: full deployment of AI-driven solutions from build through production.

You’ll work with customers to understand problems, design the right technical approach, deploy and monitor performance, and continuously improve outcomes, sitting between product, engineering and the customer. The role is based in Midtown Manhattan with four in-office days.

Qualifications

• Strong full-stack software engineering experience.
• Forward deployed, applied AI or highly technical solutions experience.
• Ownership of customer-facing deployments from build through production.
• Experience in a startup or similarly fast-moving environment.
• Voice or conversational AI experience would be useful, but not essential.

This is a role for an engineer who wants to own what happens after the sale.

Not just the build. Not just the customer conversation - The full deployment.

You’ll work with customers to understand the problem, design the right technical approach, build and deploy AI-driven solutions, get them into production, monitor performance and keep improving them after launch.

The business is a venture-backed AI software company in New York, and they’re building out a small Forward Deployed Engineering function around a growing customer base.

You’ll sit right between product, engineering and the customer.

That means you need to be comfortable writing code, making technical decisions, handling ambiguity and speaking directly with customers without hiding behind another team.

The right background is likely to include:

• Strong full-stack software engineering experience
• Forward deployed, applied AI or highly technical solutions experience
• Ownership of customer-facing deployments from build through production
• Experience in a startup or similarly fast-moving environment

Voice or conversational AI experience would be useful, but it is not essential.

The role is based in Midtown Manhattan, with Monday to Thursday in the office.

Salary is $150k–$200k plus equity.
