Job summary

SharkNinja, a global product design and technology company headquartered in Needham, Massachusetts, is seeking an AI-focused engineer to join THE FIN team. You will embed with business units, turn complex challenges into reliable data, automation and AI solutions, and drive measurable improvements.

You will own delivery from problem understanding through production, adoption and impact, collaborating with cross-functional teams and applying strong commercial judgment, security and governance.

Qualifications

Join THE FIN, SharkNinja's core internal transformation team, to build financial and operational capabilities from zero to one. You'll embed with business teams, untangle complex cross-functional challenges, and turn them into reliable data, automation, and AI solutions-with the resources and reach of a global business. We are looking for a variety of career stages to build out this team.

We're looking for deep technical ability, strong commercial judgment, and founder-level urgency. You'll own delivery from understanding the problem through production, adoption, and measurable results.

What you'll do

• Embed with the business. Understand workflows, decisions, and recurring friction; identify opportunities with clear commercial value.
• Build from zero to one. Turn ambiguous problems into working applications, data products, and automation, iterating directly with users.
• Connect data and apply AI. Integrate enterprise systems and use AI where it improves outcomes, with appropriate validation and human review.
• Own production delivery. Test, deploy, monitor, and maintain solutions with security, data quality, and auditability built in.
• Drive adoption and impact. Put solutions into daily use, establish support ownership, and measure business results.

What you'll bring

• Experience building and deploying production software, data products, or automation used by business teams.
• Experience in CPG, consumer products, retail, manufacturing, or another environment requiring an understanding of end-to-end business operations.
• Experience with Python or similar data analysis language
• Strong SQL skills with experience in database architecture, table creation, procedures, functions.
• Commercial acumen: connect technical choices to business value and understand how changes affect teams across the business.
• Sound engineering practices across testing, security, monitoring, and documentation, including validation of AI outputs.
• A founder's mindset: take initiative, navigate uncertainty, move quickly, and stay accountable through adoption and results.

Experience that would help

• Palantir Foundry and AIP, or comparable enterprise data and application platforms.
• Embedded engineering, business transformation, or product development in a startup or high-growth environment.
• Building intuitive interfaces that simplify complex data and workflows.
• Snowflake & DBT experience is a plus
• Production business applications in React is a plus
