Turn this role into an interview — a resume and cover letter built around what this employer wants.
Plentitude is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to translate customer needs into reliable software, integrations, and AI-powered workflows. You will work directly with restoration contractors to connect their systems and implement practical solutions, collaborating with the founders to improve the platform and define implementation patterns.
A hands-on role with substantial customer interaction and ownership from discovery through deployment.
Plentitude is building the operating system for restoration contractors, starting with estimating and claims intelligence. We are already working with paying restoration companies and building alongside the teams that use our product every day. Restoration contractors have the documentation and expertise to support their work, but the information is often scattered across photos, notes, scans, job-management systems, and estimating software. Turning that information into a complete, defensible estimate still requires substantial manual work. Plentitude connects those pieces, helping teams prepare stronger estimates, identify missing documentation, and draft evidence-backed supplements and responses for their team to review and submit. Our ambition extends beyond estimating. We want to connect the workflows contractors rely on to document, manage, and get paid for their work. We are looking for people who want to help build that foundation, not just maintain a small part of an established product.
We are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to help turn customer needs into working software. You will work directly with restoration companies to understand their operations, connect their existing systems, and build the integrations and workflows that make Plentitude useful in their day-to-day work. You will also work closely with our founders to turn what you learn into improvements across the platform. This is a hands‑on engineering role with substantial customer interaction. You should be equally comfortable leading a workflow discussion, investigating messy data, and writing code to solve the underlying problem. You will own work from discovery through deployment and follow‑through, rather than delivering a prototype and handing it off.
Experience with restoration, construction, insurance workflows, or estimating software would be helpful, but we would not expect you to arrive as an industry expert. Curiosity about how our customers work, along with a willingness to learn the details, matters.
You will work directly with the founders, spend time with the people using what you build, and help shape both the product and how we implement it. The work will involve real operational constraints: incomplete documentation, disconnected systems, and teams that need software to make their jobs easier. You will see where your work succeeds, where it falls short, and what needs to change. As an early team member, you will help establish the engineering practices and implementation approach that future hires build on.
Customers get up and running with fewer technical roadblocks. Their information moves reliably through the platform. Problems are resolved at the source rather than repeatedly worked around. Each implementation makes the next one easier, and what you learn in the field makes the core product better.
