Job summary

SWAPP seeks a Forward Deployed Architect to work closely with a single New York firm, living in their studios to understand design and documentation workflows, and translate observations into a sharper product each sprint.

You are an architect with 5–7 production years, expert in Revit, comfortable presenting to principals, BIM managers, and drafters, and ready to travel between offices while building value on live projects.

SWAPP builds Frank, an agentic AI architect that reads and writes the live BIM model inside Autodesk Revit and Graphisoft ArchiCAD, executing real documentation, modeling, and QA work for many of the world’s leading architecture firms. We pair deep architectural domain knowledge with optimization, computational geometry, and modern AI to put genuine automation on the critical path of production. Our team brings together architects, engineers, AI researchers, and data scientists across Tel Aviv and the US.

The role

A Forward Deployed Architect goes deep with one firm at a time. Most software is one capability sold to many customers; you are the inverse, bringing many of SWAPP’s capabilities to bear on a single firm, in person, until Frank is genuinely part of how they work. You don’t advise from a distance like a consultant, and you don’t build in isolation like a product engineer. You will spend your weeks inside our New York customers’ studios, sitting with project teams, learning how they design and document, and turning what you see into a product that gets sharper every sprint. You are a practicing architect who is just as convincing in a Friday design review as in a Monday product planning session.

What you’ll do

• Embed in your firms’ New York offices, becoming a trusted member of their teams rather than a vendor who visits.
• Capture requests, standards, and everyday friction straight from architects and BIM leads, then shape them into a clear backlog for SWAPP.
• Own the outcome in each account: drive real adoption on live projects, clear blockers fast, and keep the firm getting value.
• Tune Frank to each firm’s conventions, from annotation and graphic standards to sheet and QA logic.
• Close the loop with product and engineering, helping define, prioritize, and validate features from what you learn on the ground.

You are

• A practicing, mid-level architect with roughly 5 to 7 years of production experience.
• Proficient in Revit. This is a must: you know construction documents, coordination, and BIM standards from the inside.
• Comfortable as the face of SWAPP on site, earning the trust of principals, BIM managers, and drafters alike.
• Energized by ambiguity and ownership, and drawn to shaping a product rather than only using one.
• Based in or around New York and happy to spend most of your week in customer offices. We are open to outstanding architects elsewhere in the US.
