Job summary

Albert Bow in San Francisco is hiring its first Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with customers and the founding team on high-ownership deployments. You will own deployments end-to-end, lead onboarding, implementation, training, and ongoing deployment work, and act as the technical bridge between customers and Engineering.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or similar customer-facing role.
• Early-stage startup experience with meaningful ownership.
• Experience owning both the technical and project-management sides of deployments.
• Hands-on experience with AI agents and advanced LLM tooling.
• Ability to write and troubleshoot Python or TypeScript.
• Understanding of APIs and data flows.
• Strong project management and customer-facing communication skills.
• Experience with SMB or mid-market customers.
• Interest in operationally complex industries.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% and work in San Francisco 4 days/week.

Responsibilities

• Own customer deployments end-to-end, from sales handoff through stable production.
• Lead onboarding, implementation, training, and ongoing deployment work.
• Act as the technical bridge between customers and Engineering.
• Configure and tune AI agents and automated workflows around customer processes.
• Translate complex real-world workflows into scalable technical solutions.
• Build internal and customer-facing tooling to increase deployment efficiency.
• Write and troubleshoot Python or TypeScript as needed.
• Manage multiple deployments and priorities simultaneously.
• Work directly with SMB, mid-market, and enterprise customers.
