Job summary

AvePoint is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer (AI) to be the technical face with enterprise clients, translating business problems into scalable AI builds while guiding governance and security. You will deploy forward with autonomy from discovery to production, shaping engagements and delivering real outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software engineering, solutions architecture, or technical consulting with hands-on AI/LLM projects.
• Hands-on experience building with LLM APIs and frameworks (Azure OpenAI, Bedrock, Vertex) and patterns like RAG and agentic workflows.
• Machine Learning expertise across development, evaluation, deployment, and MLOps for enterprise AI.
• Strong Python or C#/TypeScript programming and at least one major cloud platform (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• Ability to scope technical projects from ambiguous business requirements with credible plans, phases, estimates, and risks.
• Excellent communication with senior stakeholders; comfortable discussing AI governance with boards and engineers.
• Willingness to travel to client sites and work autonomously in fast-moving engagements.

Responsibilities

• Advise on AI trust and governance for client portfolios.
• Lead workshops to help clients understand and govern their AI landscape.
• Scope and shape AI build projects with value-focused use cases and measurable criteria.
• Build prototypes and production components for client AI solutions and integrations.
• Own the client engagement from first workshop to go-live and ongoing support.
