Job summary

Google Cloud is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) in Applied AI to lead technical delivery for customers’ AI initiatives. You will transform rapid conversational prototypes into production-ready, scalable AI solutions on cloud platforms, owning end-to-end engineering lifecycle from prototyping to deployment.

This high-travel role involves collaborating with customer engineers, delivering customer journeys for the largest clients, and solving complex multi-agent and integration challenges

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, CS, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of software development experience using Python or similar languages.
• Experience deploying resources via Terraform or similar tools to automate setup.
• Experience building full-stack apps interacting with enterprise IT infrastructures and external customer projects.
• Experience architecting AI systems on cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Responsibilities

• Lead developer for conversational AI and customer experience applications, transitioning prototypes to production-grade agentic workflows (e.g., multi-agent systems, MCP servers) that drive measurable ROI.
• Architect and code conversational flows connecting Google’s AI products with customers’ live infrastructure, including APIs and security perimeters.
• Build high-performance evaluation pipelines and observability frameworks to optimize agentic workloads with reduced latency.
• Identify repeatable field patterns and friction points, turning them into reusable modules or product feature requests for Engineering teams.
• Co-build with customer engineering teams to ensure project success and end-user adoption.
