Qualifications

• 3–6 years of software engineering experience in forward‑deployed, solutions, implementation, or product engineering.
• Post‑sales, customer‑facing engineering experience from scoping a problem to shipping a solution.
• Background at a VC‑backed startup that raised Series A or later from a top‑tier investor.
• Track record scaling enterprise deployments with multiple features or automations for large customers.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Python and/or TypeScript.
• Degree from a strong university (Ivy leagues, Stanford, MIT, Berkeley, Duke, Harvey Mudd, Claremont McKenna, UIUC, or equivalent) preferred.
• Ability to switch between customer engagement and deep coding work.
• On‑site in San Francisco 5 days/week.

In this hands‑on, customer‑facing Forward Deployed AI Engineering role, you’ll work directly with enterprise teams to understand their workflows, build AI automations, and ship deployed solutions quickly. Coding makes up about 70% of the role, with the remaining time focused on scoping and post‑sales engagement. You’ll also help bring what you learn from customer deployments back into the core platform.

What you’ll do

What you’ll bring

• 3–6 years of software engineering experience (no new grads) in forward‑deployed, solutions, implementation, or product engineering
• Post‑sales customer‑facing engineering experience, including scoping a problem, building the solution, and shipping with a tight turnaround
• Background at a VC‑backed startup that raised Series A or later from a top‑tier investor
• Track record scaling enterprise deployments, shipping multiple features or automations for large customers
• Strong hands‑on experience with Python and/or TypeScript
• A degree from a strong university (e.g., Ivies, Stanford, MIT, Berkeley, Duke, Harvey Mudd, Claremont McKenna, UIUC, or equivalent) is strongly preferred
• Ability to switch between customer engagement and deep coding work
• Comfort working on‑site in San Francisco 5 days/week
