Job summary

T-Town eSports in Tulsa, OK is seeking an experienced Fortnite Coach to lead the Youth Academy. You will mentor young players, focus on sportsmanship, and build a positive gaming environment.

Responsibilities include leading weekly practice on mechanics, teaching drop spots and rotations, reviewing gameplay, coaching team play, and communicating with parents about progress.

Qualifications

• High-level competitive experience in Fortnite (e.g., currently or recently ranked in Champion or Unreal).
• Prior experience working with youth (camps, tutoring, traditional sports coaching, etc.) is highly preferred.
• The ability to break down complex gaming concepts into simple, engaging lessons for younger players.
• Punctuality and the ability to manage a consistent weekly schedule are a must.
• You must pass a comprehensive background check, as this role involves working closely with youth.

Responsibilities

• Skill Development: Lead weekly practice sessions focused on core Fortnite mechanics like building, editing, aiming, and movement.
• Strategic Coaching: Teach players advanced strategies, including drop spots, rotations, storm awareness, and late-game decision-making.
• VOD Reviews: Analyze gameplay footage with students to identify mistakes and highlight areas for improvement.
• Team Dynamics: (If applicable) Coach Duo or Squad teams on communication, synergizing loadouts, and playing as a cohesive unit.
• Character Building: Promote tilt management, healthy gaming habits, and good sportsmanship both in and out of the game.
• Parental Communication: Keep parents informed with regular updates on their child’s progress, behavior, and upcoming academy events.
