Job Description

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician as we grow our business. This technician will support our construction group with startup and warranty support, as well as serve our end-user clients through scheduled maintenance, equipment repair, and replacement projects.

Pay: $25 - $45 per hour, depending on experience and education

Work hours: 7:00am - 5:30pm, Monday to Friday (occasional weekends, overtime, and evenings)

Primary Job Functions:

• Perform electrical and mechanical inspection and maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Complete scheduled maintenance tasks and document operational data
• Use technical skills to determine service requirements
• Interpret engineering drawings related to system layout and operation
• Represent the company professionally to clients and contractors
• Advise customers of system issues and communicate corrective actions
• Suggest solutions beyond repairs for customer benefit
• Work collaboratively to ensure customer satisfaction
• Submit paperwork promptly
• Maintain safety standards at all times
• Perform additional duties as assigned and assist with other tasks as needed
• Be flexible to work overtime and weekends as required
• Provide excellent customer service with a positive attitude

Required Qualifications:

• At least five years of experience servicing commercial and residential HVAC units
• Valid driver’s license with insurable record
• Ability to pass drug screening and background check
• Ability to work in diverse conditions, including noisy equipment rooms, extreme weather, high voltage risks, and at heights
• Experience working from ladders and climbing, crawling, stooping, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• All necessary tools and demonstrated skills in HVAC maintenance
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance benefits
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Willingness to accept responsibility and leadership roles
• Experience in training and mentoring technicians
• Experience operating scissors and genie lifts safely
• Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and handheld devices
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Preferred: Completion from HVAC Technical School
