Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific in Greenville, NC is seeking a Production Associate to support aseptic/non-aseptic manufacturing areas. You will follow GMP SOPs, document batch records, and operate filling/isolator equipment.

Initial days on day shift then move to night shift (6pm-6am). Requires high school diploma and 1 year manufacturing experience; team oriented with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Experience in a cGMP environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture pharmaceutical products in accordance with area SOPs and cGMP.
• Verify and document production activities in batch records.
• Prepare parts, test filters, and operate filling equipment.
• Maintain clean cGMP areas and perform routine equipment checks.
• Support shifts as needed, including day to night transition.

How Will You Make an Impact?

Support and maintain aseptic/non-aseptic manufacturing areas. Uses appropriate interpersonal styles, training methods, and leadership to guide individuals and groups (subordinate, peers, or superiors) toward task accomplishment in the optimum operations of manufacturing areas. Coordinates the efficient operation of bulk manufacturing/filling area including compounding, sterile filtration, and maintenance of pharmaceutical products. The candidate will also need to be flexible to support other shifts as needed. Initial start will be on day shift for several months then move to night shift (6pm-6am).

A Day in the Life:

• Ensure pharmaceutical products are manufactured in accordance to area SOPs and current cGMP.
• Verify and document production activities in batch records, logbooks and controlled forms.
• Complete tasks vital to manufacture drug products in an aseptic filling area, including:
• Cleaning cGMP Areas
• Parts Preparation
• Filter Integrity Testing
• Operating Parts Washers and Autoclaves
• Performing Tray Loading
• Operating the Filling Isolator
• General Material Handling
• Troubleshooting Equipment Alarms
• Designated Trainer/Certified SME

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

• Required: Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, or lab setting or related field.
• Preferred: Experience in a cGMP environment
• Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

Position requires ordinary ambulatory skills and physical coordination sufficient to move about office locations; ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch periodically for prolonged periods of time; manipulation (lift, carry, move) of light to medium weights of 25-50 pounds, occasionally pushing or pulling more than 100 pounds; arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp and type for prolonged periods of time; visual acuity to use a keyboard, computer monitor, operate equipment, and read materials for prolonged periods of time; ability to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear for prolonged periods of time.
