Job summary

Kelly Services is seeking a Formulation Laboratory Technician in Indianapolis, IN, on a 1-year assignment with a Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule. The role supports development and evaluation of biological and chemical formulations, with collaboration across scientists and cross-functional teams to bring products toward commercialization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology or related field.
• Laboratory experience from industry, internships, research, or coursework.
• Knowledge of analytical techniques and formulation development is preferred.
• Experience with laboratory equipment such as mixers, blenders, mills, liquid handlers or instrumentation is a plus.
• Strong organization, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and evaluate biological and chemical formulations using established procedures.
• Assist with analytical testing and method development for product performance.
• Operate lab equipment including mixers, blenders, mills and liquid handlers.
• Conduct experiments, collect data, and document findings in reports.
• Collaborate with scientists and cross-functional teams on development projects.
• Assist with technology transfer, manufacturing support and scale‑up activities.
• Maintain accurate lab documentation and ensure safety and quality standards.
• Support investigations related to product quality and formulation performance.
• Stay current on emerging technologies and contribute improvement ideas.
