Job summary

The role features hands-on lab work, documentation, and collaboration with multiple departments. The candidate will conduct trials for solid dosage forms, support liquid/topical formulations, and drive process improvements, with 3–5 years of relevant experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (Chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, or chemical engineering).
• 3–5 years of hands-on formulation R&D experience.
• Experience in formulation development, lab testing, troubleshooting, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot formulations for OTC products, nutraceuticals, and personal care items.
• Conduct lab trials and formulation development for solid dosage forms like tablets and capsules.
• Support liquid/topical formulations (gels, creams, shampoos) as needed.
• Select APIs and excipients for compatibility, performance, stability, and cost.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and assist in scale-up and tech transfer.
• Perform formulation performance evaluations and stability studies.
• Prepare lab records, formulation sheets, experimental reports, and GMP-compliant docs.
• Collaborate with R&D, QA, QC, Production, Regulatory, and other teams to support development and commercialization.
• Manage projects, meet timelines, maintain lab organization, and follow safety procedures.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot formulations for OTC pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, dietary supplements, and personal care products.
• Conduct laboratory trials and formulation development, preferably for solid dosage forms, including tablets, capsules, powders, and granules.
• Support liquid and topical formulations, including gels, creams, conditioners, shampoo and lotions, as needed.
• Select and evaluate APIs, excipients, and functional ingredients for compatibility, performance, stability, and cost effectiveness.
• Troubleshoot formulation and manufacturing issues and support process optimization, scale-up, and technology transfer.
• Conduct formulation performance evaluations and support stability studies.
• Prepare accurate laboratory records, formulation sheets, experimental reports, and technical documentation in accordance with applicable GMP and company procedures.
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Production, Regulatory Affairs, and other departments to support product development and commercialization.
• Manage assigned projects, meet development timelines, maintain laboratory organization, and follow safety procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmaceutics, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant formulation R&D experience.
• Hands‑on experience in formulation development, laboratory experimentation, troubleshooting, and technical documentation.
