Job summary

Infosys is seeking an Engineering Consultant 2 to help drive PLM-centric digital transformation for Food & Beverage processes. You will translate complex requirements into actionable specifications, contribute to design concepts, and validate engineering solutions through simulations and prototyping.

The role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams, documentation, and knowledge sharing while delivering compliant, scalable PLM implementations across global platforms.

In the assigned Job Role of Engineering Consultant 2, your Area Of Responsibility will be as below:

• Elicit and document business and technical requirements, translating them into actionable specifications for the team


• Participate in design meetings, create initial design concepts, and support the development of design sketches and models using established engineering tools and techniques


• Participate in iterative engineering design cycles, refine prototypes, and coordinate with teams to implement feedback effectively


• Develop and refine solution specifications and perform validation activities, including simulations, to ensure that engineering solutions meet design specifications and criteria


• Build and refine prototypes, incorporating testing results and feedback received from cross-functional team, to enhance functionality


• Undertake technical integration efforts, ensure system functionality, identify and resolve interoperability issues


• Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation and assist in organizing knowledge-sharing sessions among team members

Required Skill And Experience

• Provide PLM domain expertise for Food & Beverage processes (Ingredient Management, Formulation, Packaging, Artwork,etc.) leveraging extensive experience in consumer products and food industries Digital specifications, Ingredient/allergen/nutritional data models, Recipe ulation, Labeling & claims, Regulatory rules, validations, and intelligence workflows


• Translate business needs into functional requirements, process flows, data models, integration requirements and governance frameworks for formulation and Oracle PLM Cloud and connected enterprise platforms.


• Lead discovery, blueprinting and solution-design workshops; define future-state PLM processes; recommend industry practices; and support global process harmonization.

Preferred Skill And Experience

• Manage scope, resources, budgets, schedules, risks and dependencies; establish governance; and coordinate cross-functional business and technology teams.


• Customer and Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor, facilitate executive and working sessions, communicate design decisions, and support proposals, implementation estimates and transformation roadmaps.


• Implementation and Delivery: Guide configuration, data migration, integrations, testing, training, deployment, adoption and hypercare while maintaining alignment with agreed business outcomes.


• Facilitate CRP, UAT, training, and documentation.

Additional Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.


• This position may require relocation and/or travel to work/project location.
