Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking a hardworking entry-level Forming Operator for the graveyard shift (9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.).

Under direct supervision you will perform forming tasks, determine proper tools, read technical documents, and verify dimensions with basic hand tools. You will operate forming, deburring, manual heading, and automated heading machines to produce sleeves or other products, monitor operations, and maintain safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic understanding of shop math.
• Ability to use basic computer functions.
• Ability to read and understand English to interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, and manuals.

• Operates automated sleeve machine and changes rolls as needed.

• Performs lubing, bluecoat, gritblast, sleeve washing, or packaging as needed.
• Follows all company safety policies (including proper PPE and machine operation) and maintains an organized workspace (6S).
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

Under direct supervision, level one Forming Operators will perform a variety of entry-level forming tasks. These tasks require basic competencies in determining the right tool for the job, reading technical documents, prints, and work instructions by using templates, jigs, and fixtures to execute forming operations to customer specifications. In addition, level one Forming Operators may use basic hand tools such as scales, micrometers, and calipers to verify part dimensions and have evidence of strong mechanical aptitude.

This is a graveyard shift, Monday through Friday from 9pm to 5:30am and there is an additional shift allowance of $2.50 per hour.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $21.65 to $25.00 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1x the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.
