Job summary

Golden State Foods – Opelika, AL seeks a Formax Operator for our food manufacturing operation. You will safely handle, select, store, and load materials in a fast-paced environment, meeting productivity and safety standards while keeping a clean and organized workspace.

You will read labels in English, use basic math, and operate equipment, including forklifts, in a 24-hour facility. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and forklift certification within 30 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year machine operator experience.
• Must obtain forklift certification within 30 days of employment.
• Food warehouse experience a plus.
• Comfortable in cold environments (35°F chill, -5°F freezer).

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and load incoming/outgoing products and materials.
• Read labels and documents in English.
• Use basic math to count, measure, and calculate quantities.
• Lift and stack products up to 75 lbs and 7 ft high.
• Build pallets up to 8 ft high and operate forklifts.
