The Form Carpenter will construct formwork for concrete paving, foundations, walls, and frames according to plans. Qualifications

• Three to five years of related experience or training in the construction industry as a Form Carpenter.
• You must be a Form Carpenter specializing in concert with 3‑5 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Reads and analyzes construction drawings, sketches, diagrams, and layouts with supervisors to determine proper dimensions, shapes, and designs of required formwork and framing.
• Uses precise measurements to cut and assemble formwork, stakes, boards, plywood, keyway, paving baskets, expansion materials, and other building materials used to execute the framing of concrete paving.
• Properly secures formwork and related materials using screws, nails, bolts, rods, anchors, and other fastening devices.
• Properly uses hand saws, electric saws, gas-powered saws, hand tools, generators, pumps, and other small tools and equipment during the execution of work items.
• Uses levels, rules, tape measures, framing squares, and surveying equipment to ensure structures are level, properly aligned, and plumb.
• Properly cuts, ties, and assembles required steel, rebar, and re‑forcing within concrete work items.
• Verifies and performs grading of base and sub‑base materials as necessary and assigned to achieve required pavement widths and thicknesses.
