Job description

Currently hiring experienced Carpenters for ongoing projects in De Pere, WI and Madison, WI. As a Carpenter, your primary responsibilities will include erecting structural steel and pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMB), performing bolt-up, and installing metal siding and roofing systems. This is long-term, steady work paying $25-$35/hour based on skill set and experience. If you have 2+ years of carpentry, steel erection, ironwork, PEMB, or structural steel experience.

• Erect and assemble structural steel and pre-engineered metal building systems
• Set and connect columns, beams, rafters, girts, and purlins
• Perform bolt-up and structural steel connections
• Install metal wall panels, roofing systems, siding, insulation, and trim
• Assist with rigging, signaling, and setting steel
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and construction plans
• Measure, layout, plumb, level, and align structural components
• Operate aerial lifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, forklifts, and other equipment as qualified
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Follow fall-protection and jobsite safety requirements

Carpenter Qualifications:

• 2+ years of carpentry, steel erection, ironwork, PEMB, or structural steel experience
• Experience with bolt-up and structural steel connections
• Comfortable working at heights and outdoors
• Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings
• Knowledge of rigging and crane signaling preferred
• Own basic hand tools and PPE
• Reliable transportation
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Ability to perform physically demanding construction work
