Job summary

Aerotek is hiring a Forklift Operator for a contract-to-hire role in Bolingbrook, IL. The warehouse position supports distribution and manufacturing operations, emphasizing safe operation of stand-up reach trucks, material handling, and efficient pallet loading/unloading.

The role requires experience in a fast-paced warehouse, ability to work with pallets, shipping/receiving, and a strong commitment to safety. Onsite work with standard shifts and potential overtime is expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years warehouse experience in a high-volume environment.
• 3+ years in distribution or manufacturing site.
• Proficient operating stand-up reach trucks and forklifts.
• Experience with pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment.
• Ability to wrap and label pallets accurately for shipping.
• Experience with shipping and receiving processes.
• Strong attention to safety and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Operate stand-up reach trucks and forklifts to move, load, and unload materials.
• Wrap and label pallets and prepare them for shipping.
• Perform general warehouse duties including production support and labor.
• Load and unload trucks and other delivery vehicles from facility areas.
• Pick and put away goods ensuring organized storage locations.
• Use pallet jacks and equipment to move products as needed.
• Assist with shipping and receiving activities and order preparation.
• Support unloading and moving materials to storage or staging areas.
• Perform order picking and packaging tasks to meet requirements.
• Contribute to inventory accuracy and stock placement.
• Collaborate with team members and assist others to meet goals.
