Job summary

Newly Weds Foods in Dyersburg, TN seeks a material handler to safely manage and record materials from receipt to shipment. You will load/unload items, inspect quality, and manage pallets while using ERP for transactions.

Duties include waste removal, cycle counts, and following SQF guidelines to support production. The role requires forklift operation experience, OSHA certification, and strong accuracy in batch and lot coding.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to interpret items, lot codes, best by dates and alternative units of measure in ERP.
• Must hold OSHA forklift certification and operate forklift safely.
• Experience with inventory control, FEFO rotation, and warehouse processes.
• Proficient in using ERP for goods receipts, shipments and audits.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Receive, inspect, and sort materials; verify lot codes and quantities.
• Record transactions in ERP accurately and ensure batch creation when applicable.
• Monitor quality of ingredients on receipt and segregate defective materials.
• Conduct cycle counts and assist with waste removal and recycling duties.
• Maintain clean, orderly warehouse areas and observe all safety regulations.
• Provide support during changeovers and ensure materials are ready for production.
