Job summary

Dole Food Company is seeking an Inventory Control Associate to input data into the inventory system, maintain quantities, and resolve discrepancies. You will monitor usage in production, verify daily SAP records, and coordinate with logistics and production to keep materials flowing smoothly.

Responsibilities include accurate receiving, labeling, and documentation in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with a 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM shift. Must pass background checks and drug screen as required.

Qualifications

  • Must have full knowledge of inventory control systems.
  • Must be able to operate RF scanner.
  • Must understand Warehouse Module System, SAP experience highly preferred.
  • Forklift Certification not required, but preferred; willing to certify after hire.
  • Ability to comprehend written and oral instructions in English.

Responsibilities

DESCRIPTION:

The primary responsibilities of this role will be to record and input data for the inventory control system, maintain accurate inventory quantities, resolve material discrepancies, monitor and reconcile material usage in & out of production, report findings and recommendations for improvement as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible to comply with all Quality and Food Safety Management standards and/or systems to ensure continual improvement and effectiveness of the Food Safety Management Systems
  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) set by the company
  • Manage flow of material between Warehouse and Production Departments
  • Internal staging for production consumption
  • Make sure all product received is in good quality condition
  • Maintains stock item master, identifying incorrect stock number or descriptions, and report for correction
  • Coordinate with Logistics Department to ensure shipment orders arrive in a timely manner
  • Coordinate with Production Supervisor to ensure proper materials assigned to line(s)
  • Receive materials properly, ticket and take inventory daily in SAP
  • Keep thorough and neat paperwork.
  • Responsible for checking scanning accuracy of both product and materials in SAP
  • Supply and proofread labels from Bar Tender system for manufacturing team.
  • Verify and keep accurate daily inventory in your designated work area
  • Responsible for Process Order accuracy and explanation for variances in SAP
  • Other duties that is reasonably associated with the above essential functions of the job
  • Wears all personal protective equipment (PPE) as required, including but not limited to all or some of the following: protective shoes, glasses, ear plugs, bump cap or hard hat,
  • Follow verbal and written directions
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Follow company policies and safety procedures
  • Perform other duties that are reasonably associated with the above essential functions of the job, as assigned
Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have full knowledge of inventory control systems
  • Must be able to operate RF scanner
  • Must understand Warehouse Module System, SAP experience highly preferred
  • Forklift Certification not required, but preferred. Will certify once hired.
  • Ability to comprehend written and oral instructions in English. Ability to interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics.
  • Ability to lead and train others.
  • Ability to work any shift, any day of the week, as assigned and overtime as needed
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment, post offer drug screen, and background check

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School or equivalent

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit for 8+ hours/shift
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to bend/stoop/squat/twist/kneel and turn throughout workday, for varying lengths of time
  • Must be able to reach with hands and arms below shoulder level to above shoulder level
  • Must be able to work in industrial plant environment/freezers in order to stage and pull product
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to work in industrial plant environment with related noise and temperatures, ranging from 37-40 degrees Fahrenheit

SHIFT TIME: 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
