Job summary

Higginbotham Brothers is seeking an entry-level Yard/Warehouse Rep I to receive, stock, and ship materials in a safe, organized warehouse environment. You will use a forklift to stock lumber and building materials, count inventory, and assist in daily warehouse operations.

Strong math and reading skills, plus basic communication abilities, are essential. The role requires basic education (HS diploma or GED) and the ability to follow safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Basic math and measurement reading are required.
• Strong reading comprehension for orders and documentation.
• Clear written and verbal communication with customers and teammates.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic calculations.
• Capable of resolving conflicts constructively in a team.
• Familiarity with inventory systems or similar technology.

Responsibilities

• Operate safely and maintain a positive work environment.
• Assist warehouse staff and supervisor to keep a tidy, organized workspace.
• Receive, stock, and record incoming materials; count inventory.
• Stock materials in correct locations and support inventory control counts.
• Operate forklift with foot and hand controls; load and unload as needed.
• May operate company vehicle for deliveries or inter-location transfers per training.
