Job summary

Growscape in Ohio is seeking a Warehouse Worker to handle inbound shipments, picking, packing, and loading. You will operate standup forklifts, turret-reach trucks, cherry pickers, and pallet jacks, and work a Friday–Sunday 6:30 AM–7:00 PM shift.

At least 12 months of forklift experience and warehouse environment exposure are required. RF scan guns and warehouse software familiarity are preferred to ensure accurate inventory and ordering processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months forklift or turret truck experience.
• 12 months cumulative experience in a Warehouse/Distribution environment.
• Experience with RF scan guns and Warehouse Management Software

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Unload inbound shipments and put away product.

Job DetailsJob Location: OH Middlefield - Middlefield, OH 44062The Warehouse Worker ensures complete and accurate processing of all incoming shipments, pick tickets and outbound customer loads. Must be comfortable with heights and operating a variety of equipment including standup forklifts, turret/swing-reach trucks, cherry pickers and pallet jacks.

Weekend shift is Friday - Sunday 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, organized work environment, always prioritizing safety
• Receiving:
  • Unloads inbound shuttles from the plants
  • Puts product away in an organized manner
  • Tracks bin locations of new product
  • Consolidates product when applicable to create additional storage space
• Picking:
  • Picks customer orders according to pick ticket specifications
  • Ensures product and packaging is in good condition
  • Stages product in stop order in designated staging lane, consolidates product when applicable
• Loading:
  • Loads product from staging area onto specified truck trailer
  • Ensures product is in excellent shipping condition and in the proper stop order
  • Completes audit sheets when applicable
  • Works with site Customer Service Reps to verify additional product that might be available
  • Completes all necessary BOL and internal paperwork
• Inventory:
  • Completes spot checks and inventory counts based upon assignments provided by the Inventory Analyst
  • Investigates discrepancies in product, quantity, or labeling
  • Daily auditing of skus and quantities
  • Maintains corrugate variety and supply
• Projects: Works independently or on a team to complete special projects for the site
• All tasks: Maintains quality service by following Growscape's company-wide standards; maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping bin locations, pallet area, and workstations neat and free of debris and trash; maintain clean shipping supply area; complies with company procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Responsibilities may be amended as needed.

QualificationsExperience

• Minimum of 12 months continuous experience on Forklifts, Reach Trucks or Turret Trucks
• Minimum of 12 months cumulative experience in a Warehouse/Distribution environment
• Experience in RF Scan Guns and Warehouse Management Computer Software

• The ability to work independently and as part of the team
• Organizational, planning, documentation, reporting and time management skills
• Excellent attendance

Physical Requirements

• The ability to lift 50 lbs, and to stand, bend, stretch, sit and reach continuously throughout the shift
• Tolerance for changing warehouse conditions due to weather (extreme heat or cold)
