Job summary

Concentric is seeking a Forklift Technician to perform routine maintenance on industrial equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, tuggers, floor scrubbers, and golf carts. You will troubleshoot failures, perform root-cause analyses, and repair equipment per manufacturer guidelines.

The role requires travel to multiple sites, strong mechanical/electrical skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining safety standards and thorough documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain industrial mobile equipment.
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures, including root cause analysis, research potential warranty, rework and repetitive repairs using historical equipment data via Field Connect.
  • Complete all repairs of equipment in a timely manner and by the manufacturer’s repair guidelines.
  • Make judgment and decision making by considering costs/benefits of actions to choose the best course.
  • Perform audits on equipment per PM Planning tools schedule in the Field Connect service platform.
  • Communicate information to supervisors, coworkers, and subordinates by phone, in writing, email, or in person.
  • Complete all work orders and service records accurately and on time according to Concentric time standards.
  • Maintain accurate and timely entry of work hours in Paylocity time-keeping platform.
  • Perform all work safely, adhere to safety requirements, keep work areas clean, and complete safety training modules on time.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Summary

The Forklift Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance on industrial equipment, including but not limited to forklifts, scissor lifts, tuggers, floor scrubbers and golf carts.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Maintain industrial mobile equipment.
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures, including root cause analysis, research potential warranty, rework and repetitive repairs using historical equipment data available through the Field Connect service platform.
  • Complete all repairs of equipment in a timely manner and by the manufacturer’s repair guidelines.
  • Make judgment and decision making by considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate course of action.
  • Perform audits on equipment per the PM Planning tools schedule in the Field Connect service platform.
  • Communicate information to supervisors, co‑workers, and subordinates by phone, in writing, e‑mail, or in person.
  • Complete all work orders and service records accurately and on time according to Concentric time standards.
  • Maintain accurate and timely entry of work hours in Paylocity time‑keeping platform.
  • Perform all work in a safe manner, adhering to customer and Concentric safety requirements, keeping work areas clean and organized daily, and completing safety training modules on time.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
  • Strong equipment repair, mechanical and electrical skills.
  • Proven experience in electric forklift repair; primary focus on electric trucks.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to multiple sites.
  • Hydraulics, conveyor experience is a plus.
  • Self‑motivated and able to manage time and attendance with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills to support work order documentation and customer interaction.
  • Some computer skills; familiar with using a computer.
  • Capable of lifting a minimum of 50 pounds, crouching and/or navigating confined areas.
  • Able to meet the physical requirements of a service technician.
  • Willingness to learn and be trained.
  • Valid driver’s license; CDL a plus but not required.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screen.

Physical Demands

Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, up to 8 hours; use hands to lift, maneuver, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. Frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. May need to wear approved PPE and maintain a high level of self‑awareness of surroundings. Specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

Performed primarily in customer facility locations. Noise level is moderate to heavy, occasionally requiring hearing protection.
