Job Description and Purpose

The Service Technician will be responsible for performing planned maintenance, breakdown repairs, and troubleshooting on various models of forklifts and material handling equipment from brands like Linde, Baoli, and others. A background or experience in maintaining Lift Trucks / Forklifts is REQUIRED.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Read and understand electrical and hydraulic system schematics
• Repair or replace major system components, including electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, LPG systems, power steering, transmissions, and engines with limited supervision
• Identify and order all necessary replacement parts
• Troubleshoot and diagnose truck components
• Perform engine tune-ups on various equipment without supervision
• Perform timely preventive maintenance (PM)
• Diagnose complex electrical systems on internal combustion and electric trucks
• Use all special tools properly and maintain normal tools of the trade
• Operate service van safely following all safety rules
• Assist with training/mentoring apprentice mechanics
• Follow safety procedures and company policies at all sites
• Provide excellent customer service, representing the company professionally
• Work across the entire HTX footprint to serve customers effectively
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical systems

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma, G.E.D, or technical training
• 2-5 years of experience in industrial equipment repair and maintenance
• Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record
• Ability to repair equipment according to skill level
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Fluent in English; Spanish skills are a plus
