Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Forklift Service Technicians for projects located in the Forest Grove, OR area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $29-32/hour based on experience and skill level.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of mechanic experience required.
• All tools for the trade.
• Previous forklift or heavy equipment repair experience preferred.
• Experience working on mobile heavy machinery is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of gas, diesel, and LPG fuel systems.
• Basic welding and fabrication experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on forklifts, heavy equipment, and related machinery.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and fuel system issues.
• Service gasoline, diesel, and LPG-powered equipment.
• Repair engines, transmissions, differentials, fuel systems, turbochargers, brakes, steering systems, clutches, wheel bearings, and other major components.
• Inspect, test, and troubleshoot equipment using diagnostic tools.
• Safely raise and support heavy equipment using hydraulic jacks, hoists, and shop equipment.
• Perform basic fabrication and welding as needed.
• Inspect and adjust safety devices, guards, and other critical components.
• Identify additional repair opportunities and document warrantable repairs.
• Complete accurate work orders, parts lists, and timecards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Keep assigned service truck clean, stocked, and professionally maintained.
