Commercial Metals Company in Springfield, MO is hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator to support recycling, fabrication, and manufacturing facilities. You will operate production equipment, keep a clean, safe work area, and follow established procedures and safety programs. The role requires physical stamina and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Qualifications

• Ability to change priorities quickly, work effectively under time constraints and contribute to the team
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to perform repetitive motions including finger movement, and twisting or pressure involving the wrists/hands
• Ability to sit for long periods of time
• Ability to stand for duration of shift; frequent physical activity such as walking, climbing stairs or reaching to work with equipment throughout the entire shift
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Experience in either recycling or manufacturing environment preferred
• Minimum 1 year experience operating heavy equipment required
• Minimum 1 year experience operating hydraulic cranes required

Responsibilities

• Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor
• Maintains work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows safety regulations
• Operates production equipment in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
• Participates in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively upholds the CMC Safety Culture
