Job summary

Gerdau North America in Petersburg, VA, is looking for a hands-on Forklift / Saw Operator. Earn up to $72,000 annually with benefits starting day one, plus a 401(k) match and opportunities for overtime and growth.

Operate forklifts, saws, cranes, and conveyors; cut steel to spec; perform quality and safety inspections; and maintain a clean, safe work area on a demanding 12-hour rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of manufacturing, warehouse, or production experience.
• Forklift and/or crane experience preferred
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately
• Ability to pass entrance and fit-for-duty exams
• Ability to work a 12 hr rotating schedule - work 14 days out of 28! 7 days, 7 nights, and two weekends a month

Pay & Benefits

• Earn up to $67,000–$72,000 which includes $21.16/hr, increasing to $22.87/hr after 90 days, production bonus, 354 hrs of annual overtime, and shift premiums
