Job summary

Viking Corp is seeking a Warehouse Attendant in Irving, TX to perform warehouse tasks, operate a forklift, and manage shipping, receiving, and inventory control. The role requires familiarity with RF technology and JDE for shipping functions, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and safety.

The position involves packing, loading, and ensuring materials are properly prepared for shipment, while providing professional service to customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 6 months in a warehouse/material handler role.
• Basic keypad/keyboard skills.
• Experience with RF technology is helpful.
• 1 year multitasking under time constraints.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine warehousing tasks including shipping, receiving, will-call, inventory control, and material handling.
• Operate forklift to pick orders and receive in stock; conduct daily lift equipment inspections.
• Use RF technology or paper pick tickets to identify items by bin location, part number, and description.
• Utilize JDE for shipping/receiving inquiries; ensure materials are packed correctly and shipped properly.
• Load/unload materials from trailers and prepare crates/boxes for shipment using shrink wrap and banding as needed.
• Follow SOPs, wear PPE, and participate in safety training; provide excellent customer service to coworkers and customers.
