Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Forklift Operator and Material Handler in Richmond, VA to safely move, cut and prepare pipe and related materials for customer orders in a plumbing supply warehouse and yard. Qualifications

• Experience operating sit-down forklifts and Combi lifts in a warehouse/yard.
• Skilled with pipe cutting, threading, and measurement tools.
• Ability to work outdoors in non-climate controlled environments.
• Experience in plumbing supply or industrial warehouse preferred.
• Safety-conscious and able to follow established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down forklifts and Combi lifts to move pipe and materials between yard and warehouse.
• Handle material movement for lighter and heavier pipe, fittings, valves, and items on shelves and in the yard.
• Operate CNC plasma cutter to cut pipe to specified measurements per work orders.
• Thread pipes using designated machinery to prepare accurate orders.
• Use measurement tools to verify pipe lengths and dimensions before and after cutting.
