Tindell's Building Materials in Knoxville area is hiring a Yard / Warehouse Team Member & Forklift Operator. Start at $16.00/hour with weekly pay, full-time schedule, and benefits in a busy yard and warehouse setting.

You will operate forklifts to load and organize materials, assist customers, and ensure orders are accurate. You must lift 50–100 lbs regularly, pass a pre‑employment drug screen, and work closely with the yard crew and supervisors.

Qualifications

• Hands‑on forklift operating experience in lumberyard, warehouse, or industrial setting.
• Ability to lift and carry 50–100 lbs repeatedly using proper technique.
• Strong basic math, reading, and writing skills to process orders and logs.
• Reliable team player with good communication and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Drive operations: Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, and organize materials in yard and warehouse.
• Assist builders and walk-in customers with material pickups and order loading.
• Double-check delivery orders for accuracy and assist with returns processing.
• Maintain yard safety and cleanliness, and perform daily equipment pre‑op safety checks.
• Collaborate with supervisors and yard crews to keep daily operations moving.
