Job summary

Georgia-Pacific Harmon Recycling is seeking a Forklift Operator for our South Plainfield, NJ facility. The role will safely move material, load and unload trailers, and support daily shipping operations on weekends, holidays, and overtime when needed.

The position requires at least 6 months of forklift experience in an industrial setting, strong safety discipline, and ability to lift up to 30 lbs. Shifts include 1st and 2nd with rotating Saturdays. Training and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• 6 months or more of forklift experience loading/unloading trailers.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a sit-down forklift to load and unload trailers.
• Ensure accurate record keeping for inbound and outbound shipments.
• Work collaboratively with other team members.
• Maintain a safe work environment by removing debris from areas within the warehouse.
• Perform work that requires lifting up to 30 lbs.
• Promote safe work practices and maintain adherence to safety rules.
• Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to eight hours a day.
