Job summary

Nestlé Purina Batavia, Ohio, is hiring a Forklift Operator to manage loading/unloading, picking, and staging in a dynamic warehouse. Onboarding is followed by a 2-2-3 shift schedule with a start of 8am-4pm for the first two weeks, then either a 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am rotation.

Starting pay is $27.85/hr with progression to $31.07/hr, plus a retention bonus of $7,500, quarterly bonuses, and comprehensive benefits including PTO, 401(k) match, and health coverage.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 6+ months of forklift experience in a warehouse or similar setting.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift in a productive manner, maintaining productivity, utilization, and efficiency.
• Safely load/unload trailers ensuring weight distribution and load integrity.
• Ensure product being loaded has cleared all quality checks prior to shipping.
• Unload product while inspecting for damaged materials.
• Maintain knowledge of finished products and RF systems for stock rotation (FIFO).
• Perform daily forklift maintenance checks and report needed repairs.
• Maintain warehouse sanitation and inventory accuracy.
