Job summary

BWT Logistics is seeking a Warehouse Specialist in Gastonia, NC to maintain efficiency and organization within our warehouse. You will operate sit-down forklifts, manage inventory, and support safe work practices to ensure smooth operations.

The role requires forklift certification, at least one year of warehouse experience, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. We offer competitive pay and benefits after 90 days.

Qualifications

• Valid forklift operator certification.
• Minimum 1 year of forklift experience in a warehouse setting.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and forklift operation.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a strong work ethic.
• Required to complete company-mandated safety training courses.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate sit-down forklifts to transport, load, unload, and stack materials.
• Maneuver forklifts in narrow aisles and tight spaces following safety guidelines.
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers, ensuring proper placement and securing of materials.
• Follow established stacking procedures to optimize warehouse space.
• Conduct pre-shift forklift inspections and report maintenance needs or malfunctions.
• Maintain accurate inventory records by verifying received goods against documents.
• Utilize forklift attachments as needed for different materials.
• Keep work areas clean and organized, including aisles and storage locations.
• Adhere to company policies and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with warehouse team to fulfill orders on time.
• Assist with packing, unpacking boxes, and other duties as required.
