Job summary

Eagle Distributing of Shreveport is seeking a forklift operator to load, unload, and move products within a warehouse. You will follow work orders, stack and store items safely, and prepare goods for delivery.

Candidates must be at least 21, possess a valid driver’s license, and hold forklift certification. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and push/pull up to 250 lbs; strong math, teamwork, and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ with valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate a gas or electric powered forklift to load, unload, move and stack materials and products.
• Follow work orders to compile accurate product loads for delivery.
• Safely store product in specific locations as instructed.
• Safely stack products from pallets, trays, racks, shelves, etc.
• Securely load product on delivery vehicles.
• Daily track and report units moved and handled.
• Safety awareness and prevention is the duty of all employees. As an employee of Eagle Distributing, it is incumbent of you to think safe, be safe, act safe and be aware of all situations that could put safety in jeopardy to any employee or our customers. Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on company vehicles. Follow all traffic laws, ordinances and regulations of Local, State, Federal and Company.
