Job summary

Automatic Data Processing, Inc. seeks an experienced Dock Worker / Forklift Operator to load and unload freight and handle warehousing tasks safely. You will operate a forklift, read shipping labels and BOLs, and ensure pallets are secure for on-time deliveries.

Day shift is 8:00am to 4:30pm; responsibilities include RF scanning, stacking freight, and maintaining OSHA-compliant procedures throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight on trailers using a motorized forklift, in compliance with state and federal OSHA guidelines.
• Pick orders for customers throughout the shift in an efficient and safe manner ensuring product and pallets are not damaged.
• Transport self and/or freight continuously throughout the service center in a forklift on non-forgiving surfaces.
• Utilize RF Scanner to receive, pick and ship inventory.
• Read and interpret shipping labels, BOLs, Inbound and Outbound paperwork.
• Hand load, rewrap or stack freight as necessary.
• Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies (e.g. pallets, straps, load bars).
• Frequent contact with service center personnel; fast-pace and deadline oriented.
