Job summary

ReaderLink is hiring for forklift operator shifts in Salem, VA. The role focuses on the safe operation of powered industrial trucks to support a high-volume distribution center.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, stacking, transporting goods, and maintaining safety standards. Weekend overtime is required, and training for safety certification is provided. Proficiency with WMS and RF scanning is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in safe and competent operation of powered industrial trucks in a warehouse/manufacturing setting.
• Must be able to pass ReaderLink Powered Industrial Truck Safety & Certification training for a three-year license.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety rules to maintain personal and coworker safety and keep work areas clean.
• Operate electric powered sit-down forklifts, reach trucks and pallet jacks in compliance with OSHA requirements.
• Load, unload, retrieve, stack and store products in a neat, safe, productive manner.
• Transport products to designated areas to support operations.
• Perform forklift checks daily on assigned equipment.
• Communicate accidents or hazards to a supervisor immediately.
• Contribute to general housekeeping and maintain clean work environment.
• Interact with internal and external customers to support operations.
