Ryder System, Inc. in Indianapolis, IN is hiring a Temporary to Permanent Warehouse Material Handler to support aerospace product handling in a second shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM). Earn $21.00 per hour with overtime pay, weekly pay, and a safety-first work environment.

Duties include forklift operation, data entry, and adhering to WMS procedures. Responsibilities include accurate order pulling, staging, documentation, safety compliance, and potential training of others as needed in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum two years of related warehouse and powered industrial lift experience required.
• Ability to read, perform basic math, and follow written and verbal safety instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to input data into computer system.
• Ability to work overtime as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and apply WMS order instructions.
• Identify and correct process errors before they affect the customer.
• Identify damaged product and take appropriate action.
• Pull orders accurately as assigned.
• Stage orders and verify pallet counts and stage location.
• Prepare receiving, storage and shipping documentation.
• Follow location safety and security policies.
• May train others in warehouse tasks and operate powered equipment.
• Operate forklift or other warehouse machinery.

Warehouse Positions Pay Weekly

• Hourly Pay: $21.00 per hour
• Overtime Pay: $31.50 hourly when working overtime
• Schedule: Second Shift Monday - Friday 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and apply Warehouse Management System (WMS) order instructions
• Recognize and correct potential process errors before actions adversely affect the customer
• Recognize damaged product at any point in the warehousing process and take appropriate action when discovered.
• Pull orders accurately as assigned
• Stage orders according to carrier location and verify: number of pallets picked as well as stage location
• Prepare receiving, storage and shipping documentation retaining product accountability throughout the logistical process
• Be aware of and follow location and work center Safety and Security policies and procedures
• May be required to train others in various warehouse functions, including the safe operation of various powered industrial lift equipmen, perform housekeeping duties and other duties as assigned
• Operate fork-lift equipment or other warehouse machinery
