An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Forklift/Pallet Jack Operator to ensure safe and efficient movement of products. This role involves operating industrial forklifts and pallet jacks, performing routine equipment servicing, and assisting with inventory management. To transfer products using an industrial forklift, hand lift, or pallet jack in a manner that complies with safety procedures, company, and USDA requirements.
ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Simmons Operating Systems Principles and Objectives: Familiar with Simmons' established operating systems (e.g., quality, security, office environment, company policies). Understands the role in supporting these systems, including the impact of individual actions and the importance of communicating concerns and improvement ideas.
Other Duties: Performs additional duties as necessary to support business objectives. This description guides the activities for the Forklift/Pallet Jack Operator role but does not limit the scope of work or creativity.
Physical Activities: Able to move or lift up to 50 pounds from floor to shoulder level.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Waterproof gloves, hearing protection, chemical-resistant apron and gloves, face shield, reinforced toe footwear.
Travel: N/A
Technical Experience: Ability to obtain and maintain forklift and pallet jack licenses.
Industry Experience: Preference for experience in poultry or food processing organizations.
Preferred Education: High School Diploma or GED.
