Job summary

Ryder in Owensboro, KY is seeking a Temp-to-Perm Warehouse Material Handler to support paper goods operations with sit-down forklifts. Schedule: 5:30 AM – 5:30 PM, rotating 3/4 days weekly. Weekly pay and a safety‑conscious warehouse environment.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and forklift certification, with 1+ year of related warehouse experience. Must be reliable, able to work on a team, and lift up to 35 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a team.
• Ability to work in a diverse environment.
• Punctual and dependable with good attendance.
• Able to lift up to 35 lbs and stand long periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, and receiving.
• Operate forklift and assist with cycle counting and tote induction.
• Handle paperwork such as picking sheets and bills of lading.
• Support maintenance of automated packing systems during core production hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
