Job summary

USG is seeking a Production Operator (Forklift) in Texas to safely operate a forklift, load/unload products, and pull, stage, and ship materials according to customer orders. The role requires basic maintenance know-how and accurate data entry while maintaining strong teamwork and attendance.

The position is on a rotating 8-hour shift (6am–2pm, 2pm–10pm, 10pm–6am) within the Supply Chain department, with pay at $27.50 per hour plus bonus potential and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Able to safely operate a forklift in a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to interpret verbal instructions and written documents such as customer orders.
  • Proficiency at accurately recording shipping data.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret customer orders so as to pull, stage, load, and check materials in a manner that ensures accurate and timely shipment.
  • Recording of shipping data and other results in the manner required.
  • Troubleshoot and apply basic maintenance skills to help service equipment.
  • Expected to take an active role in all plant safety and continuous improvement initiatives as required by supervision.
  • Adaptable to scheduling requirements including shiftwork, assignment of overtime, working weekends, etc. where applicable.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Able to safely operate a forklift in a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to inspect and troubleshoot the forklift to detect issues and maximize operational availability.
  • Ability to interpret verbal instructions and written documents such as customer orders.
  • Ability to apply basic computer skills required for data entry and reporting.
  • Proficiency at accurately recording shipping data.
  • Possess basic maintenance skills needed to help service equipment.
  • Effective teamwork and communication skills needed with all co-workers.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Additional Information:
  • Shift: Rotating shift, 8 hours, 6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm, 10pm - 6am.

Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
