Job Purpose

The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count materials and assets throughout the facility. This role ensures efficient warehouse operations by managing the flow of goods and assets in a timely manner, adhering to safety standards, and assisting with other warehouse functions as needed.

Responsibilities

1. Operate forklifts or other powered industrial vehicles to load, unload, move, or stack assets, equipment, and materials.
2. Transport materials between departments or storage areas safely.
3. Assist with shipping, receiving, and inventory control activities, updating records accordingly.
4. Conduct pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report mechanical issues.
5. Maintain a clean and organized work area, complying with safety policies.
6. Record all asset movements accurately in the inventory system.
7. Support tasks like packing, labeling, and quality checks as needed.
8. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous forklift operating experience with familiarity in moving various assets and materials.
• Valid Forklift Operator certification is required.
• Ability to clear a background check.
