Job summary

National Wire, based in Conroe, TX, is seeking a Forklift Operator to move packages and material around the facility. You will tie/bundle finished product for relocation and may drive within warehouses and storage spaces.

English communication and safety compliance are essential to ensure efficiency and a safe work environment. Minimum 2 years of forklift experience with on-the-job training is required; high school diploma or GED is expected, with forklift certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of forklift operator experience with on-the-job training.
• Must be able to move large, bulky material safely and efficiently.
• Must follow written and oral instructions in English.
• Ability to adapt to a changing work environment and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Locate and move products to/from storage areas for shipment.
• Identify damages and report quality deficiencies.
• Transport raw materials to production workstations.
• Tie or strap down material.
• May unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places.
• Assist production helpers or machine operators as needed.
• Comply with company policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and perform basic preventative maintenance.
