Job summary

Schaefer Plastics North America, LLC. is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Associate to safely move materials, load/unload trucks, and maintain accurate receiving data in a manufacturing/warehouse setting.

The ideal candidate has forklift experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work overtime, weekends, or alternate shifts as needed. HS diploma or GED preferred and forklift certification is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, logistics or manufacturing experience required.
• Previous forklift operating experience required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification.
• Experience loading/unloading trucks and trailers.
• Strong attention to detail and team-oriented work style.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate sit-down forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers safely and efficiently.
• Receive incoming materials, components, supplies, and products.
• Prepare, stage, and move finished products and materials for shipment.
• Verify item numbers, quantities, labels, and shipment information for orders.
• Complete and maintain accurate shipping and receiving documentation.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse, dock, staging, and storage areas.
• Follow safety procedures and report any equipment concerns immediately.
