Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. in White Pigeon, MI seeks a Forklift Operator I to move material between inventory and production and back, while maintaining paperwork and production records to support the schedule.

Responsibilities include moving in-process material, packing finished goods, assisting with bottlenecks, and performing pre-shift checks. Requires basic math, forklift licensing, and being at least 18 years old.

Qualifications

• Minimum 9th grade basic education; HS diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Forklift driving experience preferred.
• Basic math and inventory techniques helpful.
• Must be at least 18 years old; forklift licensing process to be completed.

Responsibilities

• Move material in process from one station to another as needed.
• Band, wrap, pack finished goods and label material.
• Move finished goods to inventory yard or warehouse.
• Assist production with bottlenecks and material needs.
• Perform general preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Complete pre-shift startup equipment checklist and report issues.
• Keep inventory yards organized and clean; maintain records.
