Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts safely in compliance with all Interfor OSHA and MOPED safety standards.
• Move inventory and materials across facilities, stacking and organizing bulk items.
• Load and unload materials safely with team members.
• Update inventory activity, logs, lists, and records accurately.
• Identify damaged materials or replacements and report appropriately.
• Address and clean up spills or safety hazards before leaving the shift.
• Perform daily pre-shift forklift inspections to ensure equipment is safe and operational.
• Clean forklifts regularly and assist with preventive maintenance tasks, including tire changes.
• Follow safety policies and procedures to prevent injuries and damage to mill property.
• Must be able to safely climb on top of railcars and be comfortable in elevated areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or mill management.
• Be available for occasional weekend work.

Interfor is seeking skilled, safety-minded, and motivated individuals to join our team as a Forklift Operator - Shipping in Bay Springs, Mississippi. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating a forklift to move, load, and organize products throughout the mill, supporting efficient and smooth production operations. The pay rate for this position is up to $22.85 per hour.

What You’ll Do

• Operate forklifts safely in compliance with all Interfor, OSHA, and MOPED safety standards and guidelines.
• Move inventory and materials across company facilities, stacking and organizing large bulk items efficiently.
• Work collaboratively with team members to load and unload materials safely.
• Update inventory activity, logs, lists, and records accurately.
• Identify damaged materials or replacements needed and report appropriately.
• Address and clean up any spills or safety hazards before leaving the shift.
• Perform daily pre-shift forklift inspections to ensure equipment is safe and operational.
• Clean forklifts regularly using a pressure washer and assist with preventive maintenance tasks, including tire changes.
• Follow all safety policies, job safety analyses, and standard operating procedures to prevent injuries and avoid damage to mill property.
• Must be able to safely climb on top of railcars and be comfortable working in elevated areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or mill management.
• Be available for occasional weekend work as required.
• Physical Requirements: Walking, Standing and Sitting, Stairs, Bending and Lifting (Up to 50 lbs.).
