Job summary

Southshore Companies is seeking a Forklift Operator for its regional distribution center. The role requires safe operation of sit-down forklifts, loading/unloading trucks, and maintaining inventory accuracy within a fast-paced environment.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of forklift experience. Training for a forklift license is provided, and SAP inventory scanning experience is a plus. Excellent teamwork and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ years forklift experience in distribution/warehouse environment preferred.
• Powered Industrial Forklift Truck License (training provided) preferred.
• Prior SAP scanning experience is a plus.
• Inventory control experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a sit-down forklift to move, stack, and organize products within the RDC.
• Perform daily forklift inspections and follow safety guidelines.
• Load and unload trucks, receive/process goods, and ensure accurate movement of inventory.
• Assist in inventory management and report any damages or shortages.
• Follow SAP Inventory scanning procedures and maintain clean, safe work areas.
• Meet productivity targets and adhere to company safety policies.
• Work overtime and some Saturdays during peak seasons as required.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
