Job summary

EMR in New Orleans, LA seeks a Non-Ferrous Forklift Operator to support daily operations, load/unload scrap metal, transfer material, and prepare shipments while upholding safety and customer service standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently while multitasking.
• Ability to operate equipment safely.
• Ability to lift over 50 pounds.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload scrap metal materials, bales, bins, boxes, crates, etc. onto and from customer trailers, truck beds, bins, and other cargo as needed.
• Identify, sort, label, move and transfer metal materials.
• Ensure a clean and orderly workplace; clean and prepare sites by removing debris and possible hazards.
• Adhere to, evaluate and maintain proper service logs and maintenance requirements.
• Follow production plans and instructions from supervisors or more experienced workers.
• Adhere to operating and health and safety protocols.
