Job summary

EMR Group in New Orleans, LA is seeking a Non-Ferrous Forklift Operator to support daily operations, load and unload scrap materials, and prepare shipments with a focus on safety and accuracy.

You will assist customers, transfer materials to the proper locations, and ensure shipments are ready for outbound delivery. This is a full-time, year-round role with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Load and unload scrap metal materials onto and from customer trailers, truck beds, bins, and other cargo as needed.
• Identify, sort, label, move and transfer metal materials.
• Ensure a clean and orderly workplace; clean and prepare sites by removing debris and possible hazards.
• Adhere to, evaluate and maintain proper service logs and maintenance requirements.
• Follow production plans and instructions from supervisors or more experienced workers.
• Adhere to operating and health and safety protocols.

About the Opportunity

As a Non-Ferrous Forklift Operator at EMR, you’ll play a key role in our daily operations at our New Orleans, LA site. In this role, you will be a assisting customers, transferring material to the proper location, preparing it for shipment and loading the outbound shipment. This career requires experience of providing a high level of customer service a and excellent attention to safety.
